This course aims to provide participants with a better understanding of how to effectively manage an organisations response to an Hazardous and Noxious Substance Spill or Incident. The course guides delegates through the processes of strategically managing an HNS incident response, including understanding HNS Substances and importantly how they will react when released or mixed with other substances, the hazards associated with substances, the importance of planning and having an effective management system to support the Tactical Responders, how to obtain specialist advice as well as looking at the complications associated with the disposal of recovered substances. OPRC Level 3 (IMO Level 3 equivalent) – Oil Spill Response Training
Accredited by The Nautical Institute, this course aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of senior personnel in the management of oil spills that are of national significance. The course will also highlight common challenges faced during a major spill. Participants will learn the importance of working together to identify issues through discussions with specialists and how to develop a process for a national coordinated/integrated response to manage a major spill.

Emergency Response and Crisis Management
This course addresses the difference between an Emergency Response and a Crisis and how these can be effectively managed. It focuses on the important relationship between an Emergency Management Team and Crisis Management Team within an organisation. The course guides delegates through the processes of managing emergencies and crises and looks at team make up and the leadership of these teams. Human factors and relative response are looked at in detail as well as well as Media and Social Media response.

Introduction to Crisis Management
This course provides a high-level overview of the various aspects of managing a crisis through the various phases, including the importance of pre planning and the all-important return to normality. It introduces the organisation and make up of an effective Crisis Management Team, in addition to introducing the qualities required to make effective members of a Crisis Management Team.
